Steve Chartrand, President and CEO, has led Goodwill of Southern Nevada since 1996. Steve’s vision and passion have helped the organization become a true systemic solution for poverty in Southern Nevada. 


Steve Chartrand’s passion for Goodwill spans 3 decades.

A Goodwill Industries International Certified Executive, Steve has served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Goodwill of Southern Nevada since 1996. During his more than 20 years with Goodwill of Southern Nevada, Steve has built a company that employs nearly one-thousand people and serves the job training and placement needs of more than ten-thousand job seekers a year. Prior to coming to Goodwill of Southern Nevada, Steve served as  Vice President of Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee in Nashville.
Steve’s passion for helping others extends beyond his work leading Goodwill of Southern Nevada. Steve has served on the Nevada State Rehabilitation Council between January 2010 and October 2013.  He serves on the board of directors of Spread the Word Nevada, U.S. VETS – Las Vegas and Jobs for America’s Graduates Nevada (appointed by the Governor for JAG NV) and mentors emerging executives. Additionally, Steve serves on a Las Vegas Downtown Achieves Leadership Council. 
Steve is collaborative by nature and has been instrumental in developing the Nonprofit CEO Advisory Council established in 2012. This group brings together the CEOs of local nonprofit organizations to determine opportunities to collaborate, avoid overlap and to provide a comprehensive network of services to support of our communities needs. 
Steve is a graduate of Memphis State University (Bachelor’s degree in Vocational Rehabilitation) and Tennessee State University (Master’s degree in Business Administration).
