Veterans Integration Program
In conjunction with Goodwill Career Connections Centers, this program empowers veterans and their families with the tools they need to transition from military to civilian life, find employment, advance in their careers and ensure long-term financial stability for their families.
All Veteran Integration Program positions are intentionally staffed with veterans who have relatable experiences and understand the unique needs of veteran and military families. This program offers specialized job training, job placement, supportive services and other resources.
Serves transitioning military service members, veterans, and their immediate family members.
Provides adults and youth with job readiness and placement services as well as opportunities for education, vocational training, leadership and paid work experiences.

A partnership between Goodwill of Southern Nevada, The State of Nevada Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation (BVR) and The Veterans Administration (VA), this program uses real work environments to assess specific work skills that participants with disabilities currently possess, as well as offer training for the development of new skills necessary for successful employment.
There are 3 different types of Community Based Training: Retail Training, Janitorial Training and Warehouse Training
All participants are referred to this program through either BVR or VA. After the assessment is complete, Goodwill provides career counseling, as well as job training and employment opportunities to those with disabilities who are enrolled in Community Based Training via its Career Connections Centers.
The goal of the program is to provide students with a real-work experience environment and an opportunity to gain job skills.
These students volunteer once a week at a designated store for one to two hours. Under their teachers’ supervision, they assist with retail and/or processing tasks depending on their individual level of functionality.
Provides volunteer opportunities to special education students from 29 high schools in the Clark County School District.
A partnership between Goodwill of Southern Nevada and The State of Nevada Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation (BVR), this program serves youth with disabilities ages 14 thru 21. It combines obtaining new education (whether GED, college or trade schools) with transition work opportunities. All participants are referred to this program through BVR.
